These Listing and Seller Guidelines govern how individuals and dealers may create, manage, and publish listings on SoloCar (https://www.solocar.my), a vehicle marketplace operated by Emich Technology (M) Sdn Bhd ("SoloCar", "we", "us", or "our").

By listing a vehicle on SoloCar, you agree to comply with these guidelines, along with our [Terms & Conditions] and [User Agreement].

1. Who Can List Vehicles on SoloCar?

To list a vehicle, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old

  • Register for a SoloCar seller account

  • Verify your identity via our verification process

  • Be the legal owner of the vehicle or have explicit authority to sell it on behalf of the owner.

2. Account Verification Requirements

All sellers must verify their account before they can post a listing. This may include providing:

  • A valid Malaysian NRIC or business registration number (SSM)

  • Contact information (phone number and email)

  • Proof of vehicle ownership or authorization to sell

SoloCar reserves the right to reject or suspend accounts that fail to meet verification standards.

3. Listing Guidelines

Each vehicle listing must meet the following requirements:

  • Cars, motorcycles, or commercial vehicles legally allowed for sale in Malaysia

  • Vehicles in roadworthy or clearly declared non-roadworthy condition

  • Accurate and complete information about the vehicle

? Not Allowed:

  • Stolen vehicles or vehicles with tampered chassis/engine numbers

  • Cloned, fake, or duplicate listings

  • Salvage or accident vehicles without clear disclosure

  • Vehicle parts, accessories, or services (unless SoloCar allows it in a specific category)

  • Listings that contain abusive, misleading, or fraudulent content

4. Listing Content Requirements

Each listing must include:

  • Accurate title (e.g., “2018 Honda Civic 1.5L Turbo – Full Spec”)

  • Detailed description including condition, service history, ownership details

  • High-quality, real photos of the actual vehicle (minimum 3 images)

  • Price in Malaysian Ringgit (RM)

  • Vehicle details:

    • Make, model, year

    • Engine type and size

    • Mileage

    • Transmission type

    • Registration status

    • Road tax and insurance status (if applicable)

Fake or stock photos may result in listing removal.

5. Listing Duration & Renewals

  • Free Listings: Active for 30 days

  • Premium Listings: Duration based on the selected package

  • Listings can be renewed or edited anytime from your account dashboard

Once a vehicle is sold, you must remove or mark the listing as Sold.

6. Seller Conduct

Sellers are expected to:

  • Respond promptly and respectfully to buyer inquiries

  • Not misrepresent the condition or ownership of a vehicle

  • Not attempt to sell a vehicle that has already been sold

  • Avoid spamming or pressuring buyers

SoloCar may suspend accounts for repeated complaints or unethical behavior.

7. Violations & Penalties

We reserve the right to:

  • Edit or remove listings that violate these guidelines

  • Suspend or ban seller accounts without prior notice

  • Report illegal activity to authorities (e.g., vehicle fraud, stolen car reports)

No refunds will be given for paid listings removed due to policy violations.

8. Disclaimer

SoloCar does not guarantee vehicle quality, condition, or seller credibility. All listings are user-generated, and sellers bear full responsibility for their content and conduct.

Buyers are encouraged to inspect vehicles in person and verify ownership documents before making a purchase.
